To install the GeoBASE Evaluation software package for MS Windows operating systems, perform the following steps:

1. Download the GeoBASE software package program disk files and save them to a temporary directory (e.g., c:\temp).

2. Run the GeoBASE install program. In order to run the GeoBASE install program, use Windows Explorer and locate the directory that contains the GeoBASE installation executable (e.g., c:\temp) and double-click on the install.exe.

3. Follow the installation instructions.

4. Delete the GeoBASE installation files. Once GeoBASE has been successfully installed, the installation files can be safely removed.

5. Run GeoBASE. As part of the installation procedure a program icon called BOSS GeoBASE will be created. Double-click on the BOSS GeoBASE icon to start up the program.

To download the GeoBASE version software update (which only includes the GeoBASE executable), check the box below and then click on the "Download Selected" button. An e-mail will be sent to you with the download link. If you have not previously installed GeoBASE, you must first download and install the complete GeoBASE version software package which consists of the GeoBASE executable and tutorial files.

Note: If you are upgrading from an earlier version of GeoBASE to Version, you need to download the complete installation files. Many other files need to be upgraded for GeoBASE to work if you are upgrading to Version for the first time. This upgrade file contains only the GeoBASE main executable files and can be used only if you have installed the complete Version. After you download the complete installation files of GeoBASE, you can install it on top of your earlier version of GeoBASE or you can install the software in an adjacent directory to your earlier version of GeoBASE.
